Why Certified Agents?
Certified Agents Provide the Consistency You Need, with Quality You Demand.
- Who is performing your BPOs?
- Have vendor agents been trained to
provide a recommended price? - When you order more than one BPO
on a specific property, why is there
usually a large disparity between the
reports?
The answers are that the real estate professional out in the field is not required to have any kind of training or qualification other than a active real estate license
to complete a BPO. Which, in most states merely requires a few courses regarding the practice of selling homes.
Infinity National uses NVSI (National Valuation Standards Institute), Certified Agents. Why NVSI? We are often asked our relationship with NVSI since we do promote certification. Originally, the team that started Infinity National created the original coursework years back to train it's own agents. Eventually NVSI was formed as a separate organization to train agents nationally from every brokerage, so that they could help to promote consistency in the marketplace.
From the National Valuation Standards Institute:
The National Valuation Standards Institute is the only organization with comprehensive BPO education systems, testing procedures and continuing education requirements. NVSI certified real estate professionals provide more accurate and consistent broker price opinions. Ask your BPO provider if they are using NVSI Certified agents today!
The National Valuation Standards Institute was founded to create standardization throughout the BPO industry. We are a group of asset managers and real estate professionals who, together, have preformed thousands upon ten-thousands of BPOs over the years. The National Valuation Standards Institute started as a mastermind group to bring asset managers and agents together, to open the lines of communication outside of the individual BPO, in order to facilitate efficiency and customer service from both ends of the spectrum. Each chapter of our course has a two-hour limit for completion and requires that the enrollee pass with a minimum score of 80% in order to unlock the next chapter. A final exam with a required minimum score of 80% is also required and all chapters must be completed within 21 days. We feel that by requiring our students to complete the coursework within certain time constraints and having a high minimum score required to pass that we are also testing an agents ability work under pressure and keep deadlines. Our course educates real estate agents in the following subjects:
- Market Segments
- Work Flow (Order to delivery)
- Gathering Information on the Subject Property
- Neighborhood and Market Condition
- Gathering Data on the Subject Neighborhood
- Property Condition
- Choosing the Right Properties to Compare with the Subject Property
- Taking Quality Photos and Uploading Them Properly
- Setting Distance Radius
- Calculating Square Footage
- Average Marketing Time CMA
- Lot Size on Assessor's Map
- Defining data fields on the BPO form
- Subject Repairs
- Subject Marketability
- Recommending a market price
Every asset management company has a different way of doing BPOs and for every asset management company; every valuation manager has different things they focus on. It was at that moment we realized by creating a standard in the industry, a designation that valuation managers could look for when assigning BPOs to agents, a sign that this agent knows what they are talking about. That’s when the NVSI was born, National Valuation Standards Institute The NVSI certification is meant to develop systems, structure and standards in the industry for both real estate agents and asset managers to ensure that only the most accurate and consistent BPOs are delivered to our clients. Ask your BPO provider if they are using NVSI Certified agents for your BPO’s or Visit NVSInstitute.com to

Standardized BPO Training
STANDARIZATION is key in Broker Price Opinions. With ALL agents using similar methods, BPO valuations become more precise for the asset managers and valuation managers. We require NVSI BPO certification which has created that standardization.
